YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Frontman Working On New CORNERSTONE Album

Singer Doogie White (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, CORNERSTONE) has posted the following message on his official web site:

"The MALMSTEEN road show ended in Japan at the end of December after four splendid shows there. Then came the long trek home. I live in London but had to fly via New York City and Miami from Tokyo where for the fourth time in eight weeks my luggage got lost. We are in agreement that the bag is just unlucky and will be retired.

"CORNERSTONE: Steen [Mogensen, CORNERSTONE/ex-ROYAL HUNT bassist] has sent over some of the rough mixes of the songs for the 'difficult' fourth album. I will be working on vocals for the rest of songs over the next few weeks once I rid myself of this sodding cold. Then it will be time to return to Copenhagen and finish them off."

CORNERSTONE have set "Two Tales and One Tomorrow" as the titel of their new CD. The follow-up to 2003's "Once Upon Our Yesterdays" (Massacre) contains 10 new "classic" CORNERSTONE tracks, according to a posting on the group's web site. "We are all very pleased with the direction and vibe the songs are taken this time. Heavy, moody and rocky." Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Requiem", "Wicked" and "Two Tales and One Tomorrow".

As previously reported, CORNERSTONE have been confirmed for the Norwegian festival Ragnarock, set to take place place August 17-19, 2006. More information will be made available soon.

CORNERSTONE's live album, "Cornerstone In Concert", was released in July 2005 in Japan via Yamaha Communications and in Europe through Massacre Records. The CD was recorded at several shows on the group's debut tour of Europe in January/Febuary 2005. Included in the package is a video clip of live and backstage footage from the band's private archives.
